• Whether serving his country as a Marine or representing his neighbors on the Baltimore County Council, Pat Young has dedicated his life to serving the community he loves.

• Born and raised in Catonsville, Pat has called Baltimore County home for most of his life. A proud graduate of local schools, including Woodbridge Elementary, Sudbrook Magnet Middle, and Mt. St. Joseph High School, Pat’s education shaped his appreciation for diverse perspectives and his commitment to making informed, empathetic decisions.

• After high school, Pat answered the call to serve, enlisting in the United States Marine Corps. From 2001 to 2005, he served in the infantry with the 1st Battalion, 8th Marine Regiment, completing two combat tours in Iraq and a humanitarian mission in Liberia. For his leadership during the Battle of Fallujah, he earned a combat promotion to the rank of corporal.
